Create NURBS models in Reshaper...

Dear User,

The polygonal mesh modeling of Reshaper generates models, made up with hundreds or thousands of non-continuous triangles. These 3D meshed models are ready for rapid prototyping, tool path generation, simulation, analysis, etc.

However, NURBS models are sometimes required by computer-aided design, manufacturing or engineering software.

The Reshaper option "CAD modeler" is now available to reconstruct complex NURBS surfaces. Thus, you can create and export a CAD model in IGES or STEP formats, usable by CAD-CAM software or for 3D inspection.

With this NURBS module, the CAD surface import is now 10 to 100 times faster. The CAD model mathematical definition is preserved, which dramatically improves the accuracy. If the surfacic modeler is not enabled, the import process works as in the previous versions: NURBS surfaces and curves are converted into mesh and polylines, in order to make 3D inspections.

The software installation has been simplified.
From a single installer, downloadable from our website, you can directly select the options, the scanner interfaces, the online help, the examples, etc.
The help files have been completely updated.
You will get in particular the technical support and practicals about the new NURBS module.
