Fictive line - Sharp Line... New features
Dear User,
As it was announced in the previous newsletter, the new 3DReshaper version will underpin all future developments in addition to continuing enhancement on existing functionalities.
We present you four new features that will not only improve the usability of your software, but also ease your engineering process.
-
Texture mapping with the multi-view mode. This mode, which allows you to split your monitor into several 3D scenes, is now available for texturing. You can see at the same time both the 2D image and the corresponding 3D model to more easily match the points in the two views.
-
Fictive line. The Feature Line Extraction option has been enhanced with an intermediate function. 3DReshaper computes from the feature line the "fictive" line which enables you to find the sharp line close to the measured model. I remind you that these lines can be exported in DXF or IGES.
-
Border lines. The border lines, also available in this module, enable you to find the two lines on each side of the fillet. These lines may be used to split the model with the Constraints Meshing command or to transform the fillet in sharp edge.
-
Best Line. In the Construction menu and Best Shapes, you have the ability to extract the best straight line from a polyline with considering some or all points.

The feature Line extraction and the texturing are optional modules. However, if you do not have these options, you can test them on your current version 6 in a no saving mode.
