Volume and Cubature calculation....
Dear User,
In construction engineering, many important works are generally the subject of surveying and digitization in order to determine, with a satisfying accuracy, the volume of excavation and embankment, surface, water level, etc.
The function, Volume/Cubature in the Mesh menu, has been improved to meet the expectations of 3DReshaper users regarding 3D model volume evaluation.
Available in the standard version, this feature enables you to automatically:
- Calculate, according to a given axis, the embankment and excavation of two models, having or not the same contours (in this case the volume is approximated).
- Obtain the volume and centroid properties of the solid objects.
- Find the water level for a closed or open 3D model. A plan represents the level of liquid along Z axis (if you want to calculate the volume according to another axis, you just have to change the coordinate system).

These improvements will allow to easily calculate for instance the volume for a ground to be levelled, the capacity of a dam, the water retention as a result of land subsidence, the volume at a specific level in a tank, etc.
The whole Technodigit team remains at your disposal
Kind Regards,
Nicolas Landrivon
