Dear User,
Each job has different terms that sometimes express the same need: to be able to extract polylines which follow fillets or sharp edges on CAD models or 3D meshes.
3DReshaper offers, in an optional module, the Feature Line Extraction function with new additional options, which enables you to:
- automatically extract the feature line,
- semi-automatically define the path of the line,
- modify the created path of the line,
- adapt the line detection to CAD models,
- directly smooth and project the extracted polylines...
Whether in industry, dentistry or architecture, the feature line extraction with 3DReshaper can significantly facilitate the consistent modelling of the object real surface for reverse engineering, duplication or control.

Closed feature lines can be used to separate a surface into parts with the command "Constraint Meshing". You can also apply perpendicular sections or profiles along the feature lines (see "Section Along Curve"). |
